(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Hartford Police are investigating a pair of afternoon crashes, one of which was fatal.
They say a motor vehicle and a motor-scooter collided this afternoon on Wethersfield Avenue. The collision left the male rider of the scooter dead.
The driver of the motor vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.
That crash closed Wethersfield Avenue between Wyllys Street south and Annawan Street.
About an hour earlier, officers say a motorcyle and a car collided in the area of Francis Avenue and Hamilton Street. The operator of the motorcycle was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
So far, names of those involved have not been released.
