(Shelton, Conn./WTIC) - Shelton Police have arrested three man on charges they stole a rare comic book collection.
Police put the value of the comics at a quarter-million-dollars.
They launched the investigation last July.
That's when they were alerted to the theft from a storage unit in the city.
Detectives say about 500 comics were swiped and a small portion were sold to a comic book store in New Haven. The remainder of the comic books were recovered.
Now, under arrest are 49-year-old James Wadworth, Sr., 30-year-old James Wadsworth, Jr., both of Ansonia, and 32-year-old Saul Salazar of Shelton.
They're charged with larceny and conspiracy.
