(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Hartford police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal crash Thursday.
It was just before 3:00 p.m. when officers say a motor vehicle and a motor scooter collided on Wethersfield Avenue.
Police later located the evading vehicle, which had crashed at Stonington Street and Wethersfield Avenue.
Nineteen-year-old Irving Gonzalez is charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility, operating without a license, and other offenses. Bond was set at $150,000.
The man struck on the scooter was identifed as 57-year-old Rudy Cabrera.
Police say he was thrown 100 feet and sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital.
