(HARTFORD,Conn./WTIC) - Hartford Police have arrested two men in connection with a robbery related to the sale of a cellphone listed on the "letgo" app.The sale was to have taken place on the University of Hartford campus at abourt 12:45 Wednesday afternoon.The victim told police the potential buyer met with them and brandished a firearm and demanded the phone.After taking rhe phone ,police say the suspect fled the scene in a white Honda.
During the investigation , police determined the suspect had mentioned Jackson Boulevard as a transaction location.Officers responded to that area and spotted the suspect vehicle with two people inside.They were detained and a BB gun and the stolen iPhone were found.
25 year old Jermaine Cox of Hartford and 19 year old Robert Swan of Bloomfield have been charged with Robbery,Conspiracy to Commit Robbery,and Weapon in a Motor Vehicle.Swan was additionally charged with Carrying a Dangerous weapon.
Bond for Cox and Swan was set at $100,000 each.
