AVON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Avon police have identified the man who was killed when the SUV he was driving crashed and rolled over along Waterville Road Friday night.
Steven S. Ouellette, 41, of Bristol suffered severe head and upper body trauma, said police. He was pronounced dead at UConn Health.
Police say the 2002 Dodge Durango Ouellette was driving, went over a guardrail and down a steep embankment-- coming to rest in thick brush at the wood line shortly before 7:30 p.m.
Ouellette was found in the woods outside the vehicle, with the help of thermal imaging, said police.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad continues to investigate the crash. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Avon police at 860-409-4200.
