(Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC) - The investigation continues into a fiery crash Monday on the southbound side Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield.
Police say around 9:30 Monday morning, two employees of a Herb Holden Trucking tractor trailer hauling an excavator were working on the vehicle which had experienced a mechanical issue.
According to officers, a second tractor trailer belonging to Stan Koch and Sons out of Minnesota and hauling a boat, plowed into the Holden rig, both vehicles bursting into flames.
That second truck wound up in the parking lot of a Cumberland Farms.
One Herb Holden employee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second Holden employee, as well as operator of the Koch tractor trailer sustained serious injuries.
They were transported to Hartford Hospital.
