Bloomfield Man Arrested in Domestic Disturbance

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Bloomfield Police arrest a man in connection with a domestic disturbance after "pinging" his cell phone.

Officers went to a residence at 88 Ellsworth Drive on the report of a domestic disturbance. Police say Ryan Thompson, 39, of Bloomfield, punched and stranged his victim before threatening to shoot the victim with a handgun. A BB gun fitting that description was located at the scene of the disturbance.

The suspect's cell phone was "pinged" in Hartford and also at the West Farms Mall. Police arrested Thompson inside the mall and charged him with threatening in the first degree, stangulation in the second degree, assault in the third degree, two counts of risk of injury, and interfering with a 911 call.

He remains held on a $200,000.00 bond.
