(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - The body Middletown teenager who went missing this week in the Connecticut River has been found.
According to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the teen has been identified as 17-year-old Khailon Rivers.
His body was recovered this morning, according to DEEP.
Rivers went missing on Monday near Haddam Meadows State Park when he went into the water to help a younger family member in distress.
DEEP reminds those frequenting state waterbodies to review recommended safety guidelines before entering the water.
