CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A child has died after being struck by a motor vehicle in Cheshire Friday night, according to the Cheshire Police Department.
Authorities responded to the accident at around 8 p.m. in the area of Wiese Road by Richmond Glen Drive.
Paramedics and officers provided first aid to the child upon arrival, police said.
The child was then transported to the local hospital where, police report, the child succumbed to their injuries.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle has cooperated with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing. The Cheshire Police Department is withholding names as notifications of family members still need to be made.
