Connecticut's Democratic State Central Committee Elects New Leadership

Hartford, Conn. (WTIC) - Connecticut's democratic State Central Committee has a new executive leadership team.

Former Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman was chosen as State Party Chair during elections on Wednesday night at the party's headquarters.  Former Lt. Governor Wyman, who began a career in public service more than 30 years ago, will focus on building Party infrastructure while leading Connecticut Democrats in future elections - most notably in defending their majority in 2020.

New Haven attorney Erick Russell was chosen as Vice Chair, Audrey Blondin was re-elected Secretary and Norwalk City Councilwoman Eloisa Melendez was chosen as Treasurer.  

Jacqueline Kozin, who recently served as Governor Ned Lamont's Deputy Campaign Manager, will serve as the next Executive Director.

The new leadership team will being their term February 1st next month.
