SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a local supermarket Sunday night.
Officials say the fire broke out at the IGA Supermarket on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, causing the roof of the building to collapse.
Crews from the Cheshire and Plainville Fire Departments were called in to assist with the efforts.
There were no reports of any injuries, according to officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
