(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Chief State's Attorney Kevin Kane is calling for Connecticut's Criminal Justice Commission to meet with the Hartford state's attorney to get to the bottom of why there are several incomplete reports on officer-involved shootings.
Kane, in releasing his own report on Wednesday, stopped short of calling for Gail Hardy's removal.
He does say the commission needs to know what steps are being taken to complete the reports on four investigations of incidents that occurred between 2008 and 2012.
A fifth case of an officer involved fatal shooting that occurred last spring in Wethersfield is under review and is not deemed untimely, according to Kane.
In his report, Kane didn't indicate why the reports were never completed.
He says Hardy's decision that use of force was justified in the cases was appropriate, but the process was never officially completed.
