WINDSOR, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - One person is dead following a fiery crash early Tuesday morning involving two tractor trailers on Interstate 91.
The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. on I-91 southbound in Windsor at Exit 39, said state police. In addition to troopers, firefighters and other emergency response personnel also responded to the scene.
The entire southbound side of the highway was closed at Exit 40 for hours. Two lanes were reopened as the morning commute was getting underway.
State police have not yet released the identity of the person who was killed.
