(WTIC-AM) -- Greenwich police say they have received numerous leads from the public as they investigate the killing of a woman whose body was found with her hands and feet tied in a suitcase off Glenville Road.

The body was found Tuesday morning by public works employees. The woman had been bound at the hands and the feet inside the suitcase.

Police say the death is a homicide.

The woman is estimated to have been between the ages of 18 and 30, but Greenwich Police have not yet identified her. Authorities say they hope an autopsy on Wednesday will provide information about her identity and cause of death.

Police believe the woman was killed in a different location, then moved to where she was found. The suitcase was about 15 or 20 feet off the shoulder of the road, in an area that was lower than the road.  Investigators did not immediately know how long the suitcase had been at that location.

The cause of the woman's death is still under investigation.
