(Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC) - State Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Sibongile Magubane says a member of the department's executive team has tested positive for COVID-19.
The commissioner says the employee is in an admininstrative capacity and doesn't serve the general public.
Magubane says the employee hasn't been to work since March 10 and is currently home recovering.
Those who've come into contact with the employee have been contacted, according to the commissioner, and will self-monitor in their homes for 14 days.
Out of an abundance of concern, the Wethersfield DMV office is closed for a deep cleaning and is scheduled to reopen March 19.
