ENFIELD, Conn (WTIC Radio)_ Officials say that 45-year-old Christopher Somsky has been apprehended after he walked away from his scheduled furlough program, Saturday afternoon, at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield.
He was found around 11 p.m. while being treated for a hip injury at an undisclosed hospital. Officials say his injuries were likely sustained while he was on-the-run.
Once medically cleared for discharge, Somsky will be transferred to Northern Correctional Institution where he will be reviewed for placement on the agency’s highest level of supervision: administrative segregation.
The Department of Correction thanks all law enforcement officials for their work in finding Somsky.
