HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford Police arrested on Monday the suspect accused of evading responsibility in a fatal stolen car crash.
Authorities say Miguel Burgos, 27, of Hartford, was speeding in a stolen 2006 Nissan Altima when it crashed into a utility pole on Flatbush Avenue around 7:49 p.m. Friday evening.
Upon impact, the car was completely sheered in half. A passenger, identified as Liza Ramos, 34, of Hartford, was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased on scene.
Witnesses report seeing Burgos walk away from the accident.
Burgos remains held on a $325,000.00 bond.
He faces manslaughter, evading responsibility resulting in death, larceny, reckless endangerment, and operating a motor vehicle without a license charges.
