(Greenwich, Conn./WTIC) - An election season political sign flap may have hit one Connecticut police department.
A Greenwich police captain may have run afoul of department officials over what they say were alleged fake political signs.
The department, in a statement, says it received external information that Captain Mark Kordick was involved in some way in the placement of those signs about town.
Department officials say Kordick did confirm a level of involvement.
While they didn't elaborate on the signs specifically, Bordick told "Greenwich Time" newspaper the signs linked first selectman candidate Fred Camillo to President Trump.
Kordick told the paper he acted alone.
The department says Kordick is on paid leave while it determines if any rules, regulations, or policies were violated, adding it will have no further comment.
