BURLINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A head-on crash on Route 4 in Burlington claimed the life of a Farmington man Thursday night.
Police say Frederick Manka, 48, of the Unionville section of Farmington, was pronounced dead at UConn Health after his car crossed the center line of the road and struck a pickup truck shortly before 10 p.m.
The driver of the truck sustained non-life threatening injuries, said police. A passenger in the truck was not hurt.
The crash occurred just east of the intersection with Route 179.
State police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call Troop L in Litchfield at 860-626-7900.
