ANSONIA, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Ansonia police have now charged the father of missing one-year-old Vanessa Morales with murdering the baby's mother, Christine Holloway.Jose Morales, 43, of New Haven, had been in custody on unrelated weapons charges. Police have also said he's a suspect in the toddler's disappearance.The toddler was missing from the Ansonia apartment where her mother's body was found Dec. 2.An Amber Alert, which remains active, was issued two days later.
Jose Morales is charged with murder and evidence tampering. He was being held on $5 million bail, pending arraignment Friday afternoon.Anyone with information on the Amber Alert case or the death of Christine Holloway is asked to call Ansonia police at (203) 735-1885 or the FBI at (203) 503-5555.
