(Windsor, Conn./WTIC) - The town of Windsor is out with a health advisory in wake of this week's plane crash at Bradley International Airport.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has informed town officials of a foam material that has been detected on Rainbow Brook where it meets with the Farmington River.
DEEP says this is most likely the result of rain earlier this week.
At this point, officials say there's been no observation of foam in the MDC's sanitary system.
Water samples will be tested for PFAS, a firefighting component that ended up in the Farmington River this summer.
DEEP and the state Department of Public Health continue to advise the public to refrain from consuming fish from the impacted area of the river.
