
HAMDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hamden police, Friday, identified the operator of a motor scooter who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on State Street late Wednesday afternoon.
Garrison Nieves, 21, of Hamden, was pronounced dead at Yale New Haven Hospital after he was hit head-on by a stolen Toyota Corolla which had been speeding and driving erratically, according to police.
Police say the occupants of the car jumped into another car which had been speeding and driving erratically and fled the scene. Police describe the second vehicle as a blue Honda with Connecticut registration AS-54198.
The search for suspects continued Friday.
