HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford Police went to the intersection of Wethersfield Avenue at Anawan Street around 9:35 Tuesday night, in response to word of a stabbing victim.
Witnesses say a large group fight resulted in the stabbing of a 38-year-old male Hartford resident.
The victim was suffering from a laceration across his abdomen.
Emergency responders transported the unidentified man to Hartford Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Witnesses at the scene said there was a large group fight.
The victim remains in serious-but-stable condition.
Police are investigating.
