HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford Police say they've made an arrest in connection with shots fired at an unmarked police vehicle Tuesday night.
Hartford Police say the SUV was damaged when an 18-year-old man they were watching opened fire on officers just after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Capen and Vine Streets.
No officers were injured. Police did not return fire.
Alijay Wallen, 18, of Hartford was picked up early Wednesday at his girlfriend's home on Main Street in Manchester. He faces charges of attempted assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Police say Wallen fired at least nine rounds. There's no indication he knew he was firing at cops, said police.
