WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterbury police have charged a local high school student with threatening and breach of peace, after receiving complaints about social media threats.Police say Shy'rese Eastwood, 18, of Waterbury, made posts on Instagram that were interpreted as threats toward fellow students at Waterbury Arts Magnet School. Police began investigating Thursday evening.Investigators determined Eastwood had no immediate access to weapons, said police. Eastwood and his mother cooperated with the investigation, they said.Classes went on as scheduled at the school Friday. Police provided extra security as a precaution.
