(WTIC-AM) -- Police today identified a Waterbury man who died while fishing from a kayak in Wolcott.
Police said 49-year-old Nelson Torres suffered a medical problem, then fell off his small boat into Scoville Reservoir Sunday afternoon.
Police said Torres was seen gasping with his eyes rolled back in his head before he fell.
A dive team was called.
Wolcott Fire Chief Kyle Dunn says the stricken man was pulled out of the water about an hour later.
Police said Torres knew how to swim, and had an inflatable lifesaving device.
He was found in about 10 feet of water.
