(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - Police in New Haven have arreested a man in connection with a kidnapping complaint from early this morning.
Officers say around 3:30, they stopped a motor vehicle and arrested the driver, 34-year-old Luis Rivera, of New Haven.
Police say they seized a facsimile weapon and a knife.
While police didn't detail specifics about the case, they do say Rivera faces a litany of charges.
They include kidnapping with a firearm, having a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon and threatening.
Bond was set at $250,000 and Rivera was set to be arraigned today in New Haven Superior Court.
