(Groton, Conn./WTIC) - A New Britain man is facing a slew of charges related to a hit-and-run crash this summer in Groton that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
Police say 26-year-old Ryan Regalis struck the female pedestrian as she attempted to cross Water Street a little after midnight on June 16.
She was treated at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
Officers say after the first crash, Regalis fled into Stonington where he was involved in a separate crash.
He faces charges including assault with a motor vehicle, operating under the influence, evasion of responsibility, traveling too fast, and failure to obey a stop sign.
Bond was set at $250,000.
