(Ellington, Conn./WTIC) - A man is under arrest, facing assault and other charges in Ellington.
State Police say 53-year-old Shannon Irvin of Windsor Locks is charged.
They say Irvin forced entry into a Jobs Hill Road apartment, holding a victim against her will.
Troopers say Irvin took off on foot, later winding up in a common laundry area of the complex.
Investigators say Irvin then forcibly held down a second victim and attempted to sexually assault her before he was scared off by a witness.
Troopers later found Irvin in a nearby apartment.
He faces a slew of charges, including assault, sexual assault, strangulation, criminal trespass, and threatening.
Bond was set at $1 million and he's due in court today in Hartford.
