(West Hartford, Conn.) - West Hartford police are investigating a possible hit and run that proved fatal from this morning.
They say just after 7:00, they were alerted to a person lying in a grassy area off Route 44, Albany Avenue, near Bainton Road.
Police say the victim appeared to be in his 20s.
No other details have been released.
The investigation had the road shut down in that area for several hours but has since reopened.
