(Stamford, Conn./WTIC) - Stamford fire officials say a man was seriously injured Saturday night when his arm became stuck in a chimney flue.
They say just after 6:30 p.m., they were dispatched to a home on Givens Avenue.
The victim, according to firefighters, was cleaning a construction area when a 5-foot piece of unsupported chimney came down, pinning the man's arm against the shaftway.
He was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment of what firefighters say was a substantial crush injury.
