MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Manchester police say they've arrested two men following a pair of gas station robberies early Wednesday.
Patrick Tanasi, 42, of Manchester was picked up on Oakland Street before dawn Friday. Police say he's the prime suspect in the heists at the Mobil Gas Station on Hartford Road and the Xtra Mart on Buckland Street. Tanasi faces charges including first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
Hours after Tanasi's arrest, police in Winchester arrested Travis St. John, 43, of Manchester, at his mother's home in the Winsted section of town. Police call him a co-conspirator in the Xtra Mart robbery. He also faces charges including first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
Manchester police say they continue to investigate a third robbery a short time earlier on Adams Street. They declined to say if Tanasi and St. John are suspects.
