EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ State Police are investigating a single pickup truck crash that killed a Massachusetts man on I-91 northbound in East Windsor near exit 45 around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Investigators say 44-year-old Russel C. Jacobs III of Springfield, Massachusetts lost control of his 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The pickup veered off the highway, collided into a metal beam guardrail, and rolled in the right shoulder.
Jacobs was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Hartford Hospital.
Troop H is investigating the crash.
