(Meriden, Conn./WTIC)-A city woman faces charges in a fatal hit and run that occured early Sunday morning.Police responded to the area of 121 North Broad Street to find a male laying on the side of the road. Police discovered he had been struck by a vehicle and was severly injured. He was transported to Midstate Medical center where he died. His identity has not been released. Police say the vehicle left the scene heading North on North Broad Street.Newington Police located a 2016 Nissan Rogue that sustained heavy front side passenger damage. Police determined it struck the male.The driver has been identified as 26-year old Alyssa Forster. She has been charged with Reckless Driving and Evading Responsibility Resulting in the Death of a Person. Her bond is $10,000.Anyone with information can contact Meriden Police at 203-630-6201.
