Meriden Police Seize drugs, Weapons

(Meriden, Conn./WTIC)-Police have seized a large amount of drugs and two weapons from a Meriden home, placing a city resident under arrest.Police responded to the first floor of 23 Jefferson Street on Tuesday and  arrested 37-year old Thomas Benham.The seizure  included more than 24 pounds of marijuana, approximately 700 bags of edible THC Gummies, THC Wax, THC Extracts, a .32 caliber  revolver handgun and a SPAS-12 shotgun with rounds.Benham is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, possession of an assault weapon, operating a drug factory, possession of  a controlled  substance, possession of  a controlled substance with intent to sell.His bail is $150,000.00. He appears in Meriden Superior Court October 9th.
