UNION, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A truck driver from New Hampshire was killed when his rig crashed into a Department of Transportation vehicle in a construction pattern on Interstate 84 in Union Thursday.State police say Eric Poblenz, 46, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on the westbound side of the highway near Exit 73, around 1:45 p.m.The driver of the DOT truck was taken to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers.Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact State Police Troop C at 860-896-3200.
