NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Newington police are investigating a shooting during a large brawl at a local Mexican restaurant early Tuesday.
Officers were called to the Plaza Azteca on the Berlin Turnpike around 1 a.m., but found no victim, said police. About a half hour later, detectives were notified by Waterbury police that a shooting victim had showed up at Waterbury Hospital with a non-life threatening wound, they said.
There have been no arrests at this point.
Police continued to process the scene Tuesday morning. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at 860-594-6239.
