(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - There's no class in Hartford school facilities today.

It was supposed to be the first day of in-person learning for capital city students.

That's not happening thanks to a ransomware virus that's caused an outage to critical systems.

There'll be no online learning today, as well.

In a message on the Hartford school system web site, officials say the restoration of the systems isn't yet complete.

That's including the system that communicates transportation routes to the bus company.

The school system was informed of the issue by Metro Hartford Information Services.

There's no word yet on when they expect services to be restored.

The school district says updates will be provided once they have more information.
