WINDHAM, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State Police have arrested a North Windham man after he allegedly attacked another man with a machete Wednesday night.Doran Shumway, 52, admitted to attacking the other man, at Shumway's home on James Drive, according to police.The victim was airlifted to Hartford Hospital with life threatening injuries to the left arm and chest, said troopers. The man was listed in critical condition.Shumway was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment. Shumway's held on $1 million bond.
