WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The names of the two officers involved with Saturday night's fatal shooting on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield.
State Police says Officer Layau Eulizier opened fire on 18-year-old Anthony Cruz. It was announced late Monday night that Cruz succomed to his injuries.
Officer Peter Salvatore was present, according to authorities, but did not discharge his firearm.
Neither officer has any disciplinary history.
Officer Eulizier has been with the Wethersfield Police Department since August: 2018. Officer Salvatore was hired in September: 2013.
State Police continue to investigate.
