(Vernon, Conn./WTIC) - This afternoon, several area towns will meet to demand more action from Eversource in wake of this week's tropical storm.
With hundreds of thousands of customers without service for what's expected several more days at least, officials in Vernon say they're holding a multi-town press conference.
Local elected and emergency management officials are expected to be on hand.
The briefing takes place at 1:30 from Vernon police headquarters.
As of late this morning, Eversource was still reporting well over a half-million of its customers without service.
