(Plymouth, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Plymouth are charging two men after they tried to purchase a high end automobile illegally.

Detectives say they were tipped off to the two after one of the suspects tried purchasing a $70,000 Corvette from an area dealership via the internet with forged documents.

It was during their investigation that police determined the paperwork was tied to a victim in Deleware, whose name and other info were being used in the attempted purchase.

On Thursday, cops were set up outside the dealership and moved in once one of the suspects made entry.

Now under arrest: 38 year old Tavon Moyer of Sratford, charged with attempted larceny, identity theft, and forgery.

His alleged cohort, 38 year old Bridgeport resident Akil Jones faces conspiracy charges.
