Norwalk, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A 29-year-old Bridgeport man turned himself in to Norwalk authorities Monday morning on an active warrant including a manslaughter charge, according to Norwalk Police.

Officials say police arrested Charlie Castillo for second-degree manslaughter and sale of narcotics.

According to officials, Norwalk Police and paramedics responded to a report of an unconscious individual at a city residence on August 31, 2019 at 4:27 p.m.

Police say the victim was rushed to Norwalk Hospital in critical condition and died later that day.

Officers say they located suspect narcotic paraphernalia while conducting an investigation in the home.

The Medical Examiner reported the cause of death as an overdose stemming from the use of cocaine/fentanyl.

Further investigation later determined that Castillo had sold the narcotics to the victim.

Castillo is being held on a $500,000 court set bound. He is set to appear in court Monday.
