Shelton Police Release Names of People Involved in Fatal Car Crash

SHELTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Shelton police released the identities of the individuals involved in a car crash that left two people dead late Sunday night.

According to Lt. Robert Kozlowsky, the two individuals who died in the crash were 20-year-old Lily Pirulli of Monroe and 31-year-old Adrian Miles of Ansonia.


Police say they were in the BMW 5 series with two other individuals who were injured. According to police, 26-year-old Meghan Nealy of Ansonia is in critical condition in the hospital, but 30-year-old Rakiem Reid of Derby was treated and released.

The occupant of the other vehicle involved, a Toyota Rav 4, was 42-year-old Minqiang Chen of West Hartford, police say. Chen was released after an evaluation at the scene, according to police.

Authorities responded to the fatal crash at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night in the area of 610 River Road in Shelton. Police closed down part of Route 110 for an investigation. It was reopened at about 7:00 a.m. Monday.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.​
