
(Winchester, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Winchester are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian Friday night and took off.
A little after 7:30 p.m., officers say a man identifed as 19-year-old Anthony Menard was reported lying in the road at the Main and Union Street intersection.
He was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital before being airlifted to Hartford Hospital.
Menard is being treated for serious head injuries and is expected to survive.
As for the suspect vehicle, police don't have much to go on at this point, saying there were no witnesses or surveilance video.
They say the vehicle most likely has right front end and windsheild damage.
