(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - A longtime staple of summer along the Hartford riverfront downtown is no more.
Those with Riverfront Recapture say it was a difficult decision to pull the plug on the annual Fourth of July fireworks display.
President and CEO Michael Zaleski says logistics and cost factored into the decision.
Zaleski says it costs about $160,000 to put on a roughly half-hour show.
He's quick to point out that the usual array of events are still on at the riverfront this summer--namely the food truck festival, the dragon boat races, and various concerts.
