
(Farmington, Conn./WTIC) - Farmington police say a student sustained minor injuries this morning in a crash involving a school bus and another vehicle.
It was around 8:30 a.m. when the bus carrying 16 Farmington High School students was struck by a vehicle operated by a 16-year-old driver at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Oak Ridge Drive.
The injured student was taken by ambulance to an area hospital as a precaution.
The remaining students were placed on another bus and transported to school.
Police cited the vehicle driver for failure to stop for a stop sign.
Additionally, police are asking motorists to take a few extra minutes to clear their vehicles of any snow and ice before heading out.
