(Bolton, Conn./WTIC) - State Police are searching the grounds of a residence in Bolton, looking for weapons they say belong to man who is the subject of a protective order.
Troopers are being assisted by special agents from the FBI in the search Michael Gramegna's Shoddy Mill Road home.
State Police say as a condition of his release on other charges, Gramengna was to have turned over nearly two dozen firearms registered to him.
Those weapons, investigators say, were never surrendered.
Troopers and the FBI are searching the property, located on over 30 acres of land.
Authorities say there is presently no known threat to the public.
