(Middletown, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Middletown are requesting the public's assistance in their investigation into a hit and run crash this week.
They say around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, a 50-year-old man was attempting to cross Newfield Street at Westfield Street with with a green light.
Officers say he wsa struck by a dirt bike traveling at a high rate of speed that sped through the red light.
The pedestrian was sent flying 15 feet, sustaining a broken leg and other injuries.
The suspect fled the scene, police said.
The only description of the suspect is that he was white and wearing a white helmet.
