(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - Police in New Haven say a man is in critical condition after he was shot in the city's Hill neighborhood early this morning.
Around 2:30 a.m. police say an officer heard gunfire and saw a vehicle fleeing the area of Howard Avenue.
The officer pursued the vehicle, which was stopped on Ferry Street with several occupants inside.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital via private vehicle with life threatening injuries.
There's no word yet on any arrests.
Police say they're investigating both the Howard Avenue and Ferry Street locations as crime scenes.
